Statesville Middle School Students Explore Career Opportunities at CATS

Statesville Middle School Bulldogs were given the opportunity to select four programs that they would like to explore as possible career pathways to pursue as they begin registration for the 2017-2018 school year.
Eighth grade students from Statesville Middle School visited the CATS Campus on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. They had an opportunity to visit the four classrooms they had selected.  During each twenty-minute classroom rotation, instructors had planned real-life hands on activities for each group of students.  A few of the activities included going through an obstacle course in the Fire Academy, baking cookies and identifying cooking utensils in Culinary, and demonstrating  the proper way to take blood pressure in Nursing Fundamentals. In the Automobile Technology Center students participated in the Spark Plug Challenge and simulated racing pit-crew activities.
