Directions for Early College Application 2019-2020; Application window is open from Dec. 1st 2018 - Jan 21st 2019

Directions for Parents & Students:

 

Step 1:  Complete the Parent & Student portion of the online application:  

Only one application is needed to apply to 1, 2, or all 3 Iredell County early colleges.  Go to any of the 3 early college websites (https://www.iss.k12.nc.us/Domain/3495 or https://www.iss.k12.nc.us/Domain/115 or https://www.iss.k12.nc.us/Domain/3559) to complete under “Quick Links” and then under  “Online Application 2019-2020”

 

Step 2:  Print & distribute forms to your current or most recent ELA teacher, Math teacher,   Guidance Counselor, and if external to Iredell-Statesville Schools also to the Data Manager:

 

For I-SS students:  

Use this LINK to print and distribute the 3 recommendation forms to your current or most recent ELA teacher, Math teacher, and Guidance Counselor.  Staff will complete their recommendations online via any early college website. Recommendations are due by January 23rd, 2019.

 

For ARMS, Mooresville Graded, Statesville Montessori, Success students:

Use this LINK to print and distribute the 4 recommendation forms to your current or most recent ELA teacher, Math teacher, Guidance Counselor, and Data Manager.  Teachers and Counselor will complete their recommendations online via any early college website by January 23rd, 2019. Data Managers will submit data by January 23rd, 2019 via email to michael_beecham@iss.k12.nc.us

 

For other students:

Use this LINK to print and distribute the 4 recommendation forms to your current or most recent ELA teacher, Math teacher, Guidance Counselor, and Data Manager.  Teachers and Counselor will complete and mail their recommendations by January 23rd, 2019. Data Managers will submit data by January 23rd, 2019 via email to michael_beecham@iss.k12.nc.us or via U.S. mail to each early college.

Directions for Teachers & Counselors: DUE Jan. 23rd 2019

If you have a G-mail school email account, please go to any early college website to complete the teacher or counselor recommendation form online under “quick links” then under “teacher recommendation form” or “counselor recommendation form.”

 

If you do NOT have a G-mail school email account, the student applicant should provide you with hard-copy recommendation forms.  Please complete them hard-copy and mail them to the corresponding early college addresses:

Directions for non-ISS Data Managers:  DUE Jan. 23rd 2019

If using PowerSchool as your student information system, please provide the following data electronically by an export into an Excel spreadsheet:

  1. 6th & 7th standardized testing EOG results including achievement levels and percentiles
  2. 6th grade through Fall semester 8th grade discipline incidents
  3. 7th grade through Fall semester 8th grade report card grades (N1 and N2 and F1)
  4. 7th grade through Fall semester 8th grade attendance, tardies, early dismissals
  5. Copy of the student’s IEP, 504, ESL, and/or AIG plan (if applicable)

Use this LINK for directions on exporting the data.  Submit the exported data in an Excel spreadsheet by January 23rd, 2019 via email to michael_beecham@iss.k12.nc.us
