8th Grade DC Trip Info


Dear Parents of 8th Grade Students,

We are excited to let you know the 8th Grade students will be going to Washington, DC on March 14-17, 2019 We will be leaving school at about 5:30am on Thursday, March 14th and return about 7:00 pm Sunday, March 17, 2019. We will be visiting the Smithsonian’s, Monuments, War Memorials, Newseum, Capitol, Library of Congress, Union Station, Arlington Cemetery, Holocaust Museum/Memorial, participate in a wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and much more. 

The cost of the trip will be $475 for each student and chaperone. Transportation, tickets, meals and accommodations (Hampton Inn & Suites) will be included in the price.

Trip Fee:  $475 for each student and chaperone. 
What’s Included:  Transportation, venue tickets, meals and accommodations (Hampton Inn & Suites) 
Deposit Due Dates:
September 14th - First non-refundable deposit of $175.00  
October 31st - Second non-refundable deposit of $150.00
December 7th - Final non-refundable payment of $150.00
**Please Note:  There will be an informational meeting on September 6th at 6:30pm in the Media Center.  Connect-Ed Email reminders will be sent at the end of August/beginning of September.
The preferred method of payment is online with a credit card which can be found on the school home page.  Checks (payable to Mount Mourne School) will also be accepted.  You are welcome to start making payments anytime.  Thanks for being prompt with your payments! 


And yes, we need chaperones to accompany the students.  There will be one chaperone per 3-4 students.  If you are interested, please contact Lisa VanBuhler
