• Welcome to Mrs. Kennett's Third Grade!

Welcome to third grade. I'm excited about the new school year and having the opportunity to be your child's teacher!  We are going to have a wonderful year full of learning and fun. I look forward to building great partnerships with my students,  parents and working together as a team this school year!  Please feel free to contact me whenever needed. Thank you!

    Classroom Mission 2018-2019
Our mission in Mrs. Kennett’s 3rd grade class is to come to school prepared every day. We will work hard and challenge our minds.  We will never give up and always participate in class.  We will be prepared for the End of Grade Test and pass the EOG with a 3 or higher.   We will put forth maximum effort to reach our goals.  We will accomplish our mission by respecting each other, working together as a team, being prepared to listen, have fun and learn.  We will always do our best.
     About Me
My family and I moved here from South Florida over ten years ago.   We love living in North Carolina and welcome the change of seasons.
I have been married for 18 years to my wonderful husband Tim,  and we have two amazing children.  My son Timmy is a junior at Lake Norman High School and he wrestles for the Wild Cats school team.  My daughter Katie is a rising eighth grader at Mount Mourne IB Middle School and she plays club soccer. We have a four legged family member that is a mastiff lab mix and his name is Rocco.  My family and I enjoy the outdoors and being active.  I love arts and crafts projects, painting, DIY projects, cooking, baking, knitting and being creative!
I've been an educator going on eighteen years. Last year I became a National Board Certified Teacher and I've been a third grade teacher at WHE since 2007. Previously I taught second grade in Florida.
I am looking forward to the 2018-2019  school year!  Students will be learning many new skills throughout the year which will help them be prepared for the End of Grade Test and  4th grade.  I look forward to getting to know all of my new students and building partnerships with all of my parents!
