I started out my teaching career in an elementary setting. After 11 years, I decided I was ready for a change and moved to high school. I love to teach and am so happy to be part of the CATS family. I am a graduate of East Carolina University and I also attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte to further my education. This is my second year at CATS where I work with students pursuing the Occupational Course of Study pathway. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Born and raised in Northern Virginia, I graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology. I lived throughout the south; including Georgia where I worked as an EC Teacher at Jonesboro Middle School.

I moved with my husband and three children to North Carolina in 2006. I spent some time teaching pre- school at the Lake Norman YMCA before taking a job with Red Horse Racing, a NASCAR Truck Team. While working in racing, I was a part of 15 race wins!

I started back to teaching in 2017, and have worked at CATS, South Iredell High, and East Iredell Elementary as an EC Teacher.

Currently, I am a graduate student at The University of North Carolina, Charlotte campus. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and horseback riding.
