    My Classroom Mission

The mission of this class is continue on our journey in world of mathematics.  We will monitor our progress on the journey with the assignments, quizzes, projects, tests, and final exam.  We will judge our progression by our grade and our level of understanding of the curriculum.  The goal for the class is to exceed our personal expectations for ourselves.  We will accomplish this mission by paying attention in class, challenging ourselves to push the limits and giving our best effort.  To aid in our success we will work hard, do all assignments, ask questions when we don't understand, and most importantly, actively participate in class.  The teacher will promote success by presenting the material in an understandable way and helping each person push their limits.

    About Me
Got to love the Fathers Day Tie!!
I have taught for 15.5 years and this is my first year back at West Iredell.  I have taught at numerous schools here in Iredell-Statesville Schools (South High, Monticello and CCTL).  All these experiences have provided me with a well rounded background. These experiences have made me the teacher I am today.  Along with my teaching duties here at WIHS, I am also coaching football and baseball.

I am a graduate of West Iredell High School.  I received a BS degree in Sport Management from Western Carolina University (http://www.wcu.edu) and my teaching certification in Middle Grade Math from UNC-Charlotte (http://http://www.uncc.edu/).  I have also received my certification to teach Secondary Math certification as well.

After school I enjoy spending as much time with my kids as possible.  My children, Michael and Kristan, attend school here is Iredell-Statesville Schools.  My son is active in numerous sports and his Boy Scout troop.  My daughter is involved in dance at Tilley's Dance Academy, where she is on numerous competition squads.
