    Classroom Mission Statement

Teacher and students will strive to reach the goals set forth by the district and state by meeting or exceeding the requirements for each course.  We will do this by focusing on our essential standards in the curriculum and teaching the concepts and functions of each standard.  We will create a learning environment that will build relationships, be relevant through real world situations, and be rigorous to develop long lasting skills for the future.
    Strategic Learning Goal
By the end of the class/semester, we will have covered all of our essential standards by using the Course Blueprint.  This will be measured by students passing their final state exam and/or Microsoft certification.

    About Me

I am a native to this area.  I graduated from West Iredell High School in 1994.  I then proceeded to Mitchell Community College for two years to get the basic courses out of the way. Then I transferred to Gardner-Webb University which there I received a bachelors degree in Management Information Systems.  I then proceeded a career in Computer Programming for a little over a year and decided that wasn't for me.  My mom, who was a nurse in the school system, convinced me to get into teaching so I had to go back to school to receive a teaching license in Business Education.  It took me two years to receive that license from Lenoir Rhyne University.  I have a love for school and education so then I decided to go on and I received my MBA in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University in 2006.  I have been teaching since the year 2000 and I love it.
