Unauthorized or illegal drugs and alcohol are a threat to safe and orderly schools and are not tolerated. Drug education is a part of the curriculum at all grade levels in Iredell-Statesville schools. A "no use" message is taught in every grade level. These messages reinforce why drug use is harmful, while supporting and strengthening resistance to drug use. Interventions are included in the comprehensive drug education program.
While Iredell-Statesville Schools maintains a strict drug and alcohol policy, our goal is to address issues in positive, therapeutic ways to avoid the potential development of addictions and harmful behaviors.
