My Classroom Mission
K-2 Mission Statement
Celeste Henkel art students will increase our artmaking, reading, and math skills. We will do this by looking at art, using different art tools the right way, following art instructions, and trying our best.
3-5 Mission Statement
Celeste Henkel art students will explore elements and principles of art by looking at art of today and yesterday, discussing it, and making our own artwork. Additionally, we will follow directions and respect each other.
It's hard for me to believe that it is my eightteenth year teaching at Celeste Henkel! I live in Statesville with my wife, Victoria, my three daughters, and one son. My oldest daughter Lilly is starting 5th grade this year. Campbell my second oldest will be in third grade. My youngest daughter Genevieve will be in first grade. Asher my youngest, is in pre-school at Western Avenue.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy being active at the rec. center, running and walking with my family, attending church, reading, and creating art.
I look forward to working with you and your children this year!
