My name is Kirsten Jutila and I am delighted to be teaching 5th grade at Coddle Creek! I have high expectations for my class and will do all that I can to help them achieve those expectations with encouragement and support. I understand that each student is unique and will learn, challenge and express their ideas in different ways to contribute to our classroom goals.
I was born in Ohio and have had the pleasure of living in Michigan, Texas, four cities in Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, and three cities in North Carolina! I graduated from South Iredell High School, then moved to Raleigh and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Technology Education from NC State University. I earned my Elementary Education Licensure soon after. My passion has allowed me 10+ years of teaching experience spanning preschool to high school in NC and NH. My two sons attend CCIB and when we are not playing outside with friends, we are traveling! The three of us enjoy hiking and water, snow, or ice related activities the most!
Keeping lines of communication open between parents/guardians and teachers is important for a student’s success. If you notice your student struggling with assignments, please encourage them to ask me for help! Feel free to contact me at the school (704-439-4077) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any questions, comments or concerns and I will respond as soon as possible.
