Greetings! My name is Christina Ruyle and I am very pleased and honored to be your child’s kindergarten teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. This is such an exciting time for your child as they enter elementary school. Kindergarten is a truly wonderful year! I would like you to know that I share in Coddle Creek’s dedication to your child and in forming his/her solid foundation in education.
In May 2011, I graduated from Mercer University with my Master’s in Early Childhood Education. I also hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Child and Family Development from the University of Georgia. After graduating from UGA in 2005, I was unsure of how to use my degree to its fullest potential, so I found a job with a small company in Alpharetta, GA. That job eventually gave me the opportunity to present our company to students at a neighboring school for career day. Working in that school awoke part of my heart that I didn’t realize was sleeping. I decided to listen to the nagging feeling and go back to school to pursue my passion – teaching.
I believe one of my greatest assets is my calm and nurturing demeanor which enables me to develop a well-rounded, enriching environment where all students feel comfortable to mature into lifelong learners. It is my personal goal to support students on their particular levels of achievement and bestow the knowledge and confidence of individual success. With my phenomenal class this year, I know we will be able to achieve these goals.
Some quick facts about me: I enjoy math, reading and music. I can play the trumpet and piano. I play tennis recreationally with my husband. I have three sons, Evan (6 years old), August (4 years old), and Lucas (19 months old). My family just moved to the Mooresville area this summer from Atlanta, GA.
I am looking forward to working with you and your child and helping him/her discover a love of learning! Thank you for your support. I’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have for me.
