    About Me

I am from Clayton, NC, a small town outside of Raleigh, NC. I moved to Charlotte in 2012 to attend UNC Charlotte. I graduated in 2016 with a B.A. in English with a concentration Language and Digital Technology and a minor in Communication Studies. During college I was the Co-President of Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society for 2 years. I was also a member of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Student Committee Board and the Women's Leadership Development Board. I am now in the graduate certificate program for Secondary Education at UNC Charlotte.

I have always had a passion for reading and writing since a young age. In my spare time I enjoy creative writing and hope to someday publish my own work of literature. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my sweet Yorkie pup, Coco, trying new recipes in the kitchen, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

    Mission Statement

My mission is to prepare high school students for the 21st century world. I hope to inspire students to be the best they can be so that they may be successful in their adult lives. I envision a classroom where all students feel comfortable sharing their passions, beliefs, and thoughts respectfully. I wish to encourage students to pursue higher education whether that be a technical/professional school or a University.

"I am not a teacher, but an awakener."
