    About Me

Hello! I am excited to be teaching Computer Science/Design at Northview IB this year. I am a native of Iredell county and I graduated from North Iredell High School. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Ag-Business Management, from North Carolina State University.
I grew up working in a family business, and I am a co-founder and co-owner of a local landscaping company.  I have taught business in a private high school. I was also a Substitute teacher for the Iredell-Statesville school system for the five years. Last year I completed a training course through Code.org so that I could bring Computer Science to Northview! It has been an amazing experience and I am really looking forward to continuing with this program! I bring all of my experiences to our classroom to help NVIB students learn more about the business world and to Discover Computer Science.

This year my students will be participating in the Code.org pilot program, Computer Science Discoveries. This is an exciting opportuntity for our students. We will also be learning the Design Cycle.
