The mission of our class is to learn and understand more about the Bible. We will do this by being diligent learners who are attentive, respectful and participating. Our goal is pass the EOC with 80% accuracy for everyone.
This is my fourth year teaching Bible History at Lake Norman High School. Last year was my first time teaching here full time. I traveled between three schools in my first year, so this semester I really excited to be at LNHS full time. I am looking forward to exciting things this year.
I am a 1981 graduate of Rossford High School in Ohio. I received my bachelor's degree in Pastoral Studies in 1988 from Southeastern University and my Master's degree in Christian Ministries in 2008 from Carolina Evangelical Divinity School. I spent twenty-five years as a staff pastor. The majority of that time I served in youth ministry. Yes, I love working with teenagers!
My wife Vonnie, and I have just celebrated our 32nd anniversary this past summer.
She is the Instructional Facilitator at Lake Norman Elementary. We have three wonderful children Seth, Rosie and Robbie. Seth graduated from Emmanuel College this past year, our daughter Rosie graduated from high school this past year, and our youngest Robbie is a sophomore at LNHS. When I am not teaching Bible History I am spending time with my family at a lot of different sporting events which we love.
I enjoy teaching the Bible History class to the students here at Lake Norman High School. As we learn through the year I want to challenge my students to ask questions, think critically, learn everything that they can and most of all have fun in my class!
