Mr Hamby's Classroom
My Classroom Mission
My mission is to provide a safe, respectful and intellectually stimulating environment
where students are challenged, empowered and prepared to meet and succeed school and personal goals, and provided with knowledge and guidance, not only in the realm of the sciences, but to prepare, aid, and build responsible, respectful, and knowledgeable students that can succeed in any future endeavours and challenges beyond my classroom. .
Born and raised in Statesville, NC, I attended Cool Spring School (K-8) until the 8th grade where I graduated Valedictorian and was recognized by Duke University in its Talent Identification Program. I then attended North Iredell High school in Olin, NC and graduated in the top 5% of my class with honors in 1997. In high school I played four athletic sports, soccer, wrestling, tennis and track, and was part of numerous clubs and organizations inside and outside of school. After High School, I attended Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC where I graduated in 2001 with Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and Minors in Chemistry, Art, and Religion. Playing soccer since I was 5 years old, I continued to play and be a scholar athlete throughout high school and in college.
