    My Classroom Mission

In Ms. Freeman's class we will have fun while learning and making friends. We will work toward making a 4 or 5 on the E.O.G. and being prepared for 5th grade by having a good attitude, being respectful, being responsible, helping others, and doing our best.

    About Me
Hi! I am so very happy to teach at WHE. I love our school, the community, our administration and the 4th grade team. This is my 5th year at WHE. My first year here I taught 5th grade and this is my 4th year in 4th. Fourth graders are so much fun to teach!
This is my 20th year in the teaching profession. I taught 2nd and 3rd grade in CA for ten years. Then I taught 3rd and 4th in Charlotte for five years. I have a Masters degree in Reading and a Reading Specialist license also. I taught children in a church setting for many years before becoming a teacher. I have always loved working with children.
I will have been married to Stuart Rothstein for 18 years on August 20th.  However, I use my maiden name Freeman and the title Ms. I grew up in Houston, TX and moved to CA in my mid twenties. I lived there for over 20 years. I love TX and CA both and consider myself a Texafornian! We moved to NC in 2006 and built our dream home in Huntersville. I love having the 4 seasons here in NC and the beauty of the nature.
Stuart and I have no children, but too many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews to count! I have a brother who lives in Winston-Salem and Stu has a brother in VA. I also have another brother in TX.  Our baby is our black toy poodle Trixie. She is tiny and weighs 7 lbs. She has a BIG personality and is 3 years old.
I love to joke around and make people smile and laugh, but take my job very seriously. My favorite things to do are travel, take nature photos, cook, read and decorate.
My focus in teaching is safety first followed by helping students to do their best while learning responsibility and organization. This is going to be a GREAT year and I can't wait to get started! I am looking forward to meeting each and everyone of you.
