    My Classroom Mission

As an agricultural education teacher at North Iredell Middle School, my mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
    About Me

Prior to becoming a high school agricultural education teacher and FFA advisor in 1990, I worked with the Forsyth County Extension Service as an associate livestock agent, studied Portuguese in Lisbon, Portugal, and served as an agricultural worker in Maputo, Mozambique.  Please greet me in Portuguese if you speak it, but unfortunately, the old adage, "Lose it if you don't use it," has held true.  My wife and I now reside near Statesville and enjoy living in this area with its proximity to Lake Norman, the mountains, and larger cities.  Below are some additional bits of information:
High School:      Enka, Class of 1977
College:            NCSU (B.S. in Animal Science 1981)
NCSU (Master's of Agriculture in Animal Science 1984)
Family:              Wife (since 1983) - Dawn (also a graduate of NCSU)
Daughters - Sarah (and Sean) (Roanoke, Va.) and Megan (Fort Sill, Ok.)
Grandsons - Benjamin (who calls me "Pop Pop") & Gabriel
Hobbies:            Reading, hiking, kayaking, gardening, trout fishing, mountain biking, &                           squirrel hunting
