The mission of JROTC is to motivate young people to be better citizens. JROTC focuses on 6 core areas-- citizenship, leadership, fitness, life skills, geography, and American History. Our students meet for one block each day and receive an elective credit per semester. Additionally, Students can participate on one of 4 JROTC extracurricular teams-- Raider, Rifle, Drill & Ceremony, or Orienteering. While in JROTC, students are required to model excellent behavior and wear their uniform each Wednesday.
I retired from the Army in 2008 after 25 yrs of service. Having served at numerous duty stations, I am a 1980 graduate of North Iredell High School.This will be me 6th year teaching JROTC, also assitant coach for football and track.
