    About Mrs. Blumberg
I grew up in the small town of Stow, Ohio where I used to play "school" as a young child as if teaching was my destiny. During high school, I played tennis, basketball, and softball, and continued my love to read and write. After earning a softball scholarship to UNC-Pembroke, I moved to North Carolina to attend college where my professors and peers instilled a valuable educational experience!
National Board Certified Teacher:  English Language Arts/Early Adolecent Literature, 2009
Graduate Degree: UNC-Charlotte: Reading Education, 2007
Undergraduate Degree: UNC-Pembroke: Middle Grades Education; Language Arts & Social Studies, 2002
I completed my student teaching in Lumberton, North Carolina (sixth grade SS and LA).  My first year of teaching was in Spencer, North Carolina where I was privileged to teach 7th grade Language Arts. Since 2003, I have been fortunate enough to teach at 6th, 7th, and 8th grade at Lakeshore Middle School where I have experience differentiating the curriculum to meet the individualized academic and social needs of each student. Our school and community have been a vital part of my family's lives; it is a source of comfort, joy, and excellence for us all.
    Thank you LMS!
Parks, Joseph, and Jacob are my sons who light up my life.
