Welcome to Physical Education! I am excited to work with your child this year. Students will be involved in a variety of activities, designed to improve physical fitness, coordination and sport specific skills. Students may also develop content knowledge pertaining to nutrition, the development of fitness plans, and the ability to link the importance of physical activity with life-long endeavors.My Classroom MissionMy classroom mission is to empower all students to embrace ownership of a healthy active lifestyle by obtaining proficiency in athletic skills, knowledge, cooperation, sportsmanship and personal fitness
About MeI am originally from Orangeburg, SC and currently reside in Mooresville, NC with my husband, Elwood, and our three children, Amia, Amon, and Ezari. I graduated from Claflin University with a degree in Health & Physical Education in 1999. I have been teaching for 7 years. I also attained a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2001. I enjoy playing sports, community involvement, collecting music, and just simply hanging out with my family. In sum, my motto is: Life is the biggest sport of all...PLAY HARD!
