Mrs. DearmanAbout Me
I began my career in education in 1984! I have taught every grade level from kindergarten through eighth grade. Most of my teaching experience has been as an elementary classroom teacher. I currently have the honor of serving as the Instructional Facilitator. I also did brief stints as a special education teacher and reading specialist. I embrace change!
I graduated from the University of Akron, located in Ohio. I began my undergraduate program as a Business Marketing Major. During my senior year I realized that I did not want to spend my life working in retail or sales. I wanted to do something meaningful that would positively impact the lives of those around me. That is when teaching found me. I earned my graduate degree in Reading Education at Appalachian State University in 2013.
When I am not working, I love to spend time with my wonderful husband. I also treasure time with my children and grandchildren.
I have the honor of being a former Iredell Statesville District teacher of the year and am a National Board Certified Teacher.
