    Mrs. Jennifer Cartelli

Welcome to Mrs. Cartelli's website!! Here you will find information about my physical science and earth science classes. I look forward to working with everyone this 2018-19 school year!
    About Me

I graduated from Rutgers University in 2001 with a BS in meteorology. I moved to Charlotte the following year and obtained my teaching license in secondary education earth and environmental science at UNCC. I taught science in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools for 8 years and this will be my eighth year teaching science at South Iredell High School. I currently live in Mooresville with my husband, my 2 daughters (they are 10 and 6 years old) and a cat.
Why do I teach? My purpose in life is to foster and nurture a love of learning. I  am very passionate about the life and earth sciences and I hope my students leave my class at the end of the year with a greater appreciation for science, a better understanding of how the world works and how they can make a positive impact on this planet. In my classroom, I always encourage a student to do the best they can and encourage them to never give up. It is incredibly rewarding to see my students reach their goals and be successful.
