I am from Clarksburg, West Virginia
and did not follow the traditional path to college. I spent two years after high school working long hours in a warehouse. This experience helped me realize the importance of continuing my education. I earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Elementary Education K-8 at Fairmont State University
. I then spent the next ten years working with at-risk students at Pressly Ridge Schools
. During this time, I continued to focus on my education and earned a Masters of Arts degree in counseling at Marshall University
. I also received my Educational Leadership certification at Salem University
In July 2005, my wife and I relocated to Mooresville, NC. Since that time, I've served in a variety of roles at Lake Norman High School, West Iredell Middle School, and Monticello Alternative School before being hired at Pressly School.
My wife Christa currently works in Iredell-Statesville Schools. Together we have one child, Adalay.
