My Classroom Mission
Mrs. Spencer's classes will strive to achieve their learning potential. Our goals are to pass each semester. We as students will achieve this by doing homework and classwork, having energy and not sleeping, participating, and asking questions.
Our classroom mission statement will be created with the students and be posted shortly.
I have taught 8th grade Pre-Algebra and Algebra at East Middle for 12 years. I have also taught math for 2 years at Statesville High School. I have now returned to EIMS and will be teaching 7th and 8th grade math.
I attended West Virginia State College where I received a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education. I have a Master's Degree in Middle Grades with a concentration in Mathematics Education, through Appalachian State University. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. I am married and have three children. Chane, my husband, works in the flooring business, and my children are Nicoletta, who is 12 years old, and Nadia who is 10 years old, and Niana who is 3. Besides teaching math, I love to shop, eat, and exercise! In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, going shopping, and running. This year I accomplished a personal goal of running 2 half marathons (13.1 miles)!!
My Classroom Motto
You will live, breathe, and die by the assignment agendas!
