    My Classroom Mission

Together we will become 21st century learners, which means that we will learn to become lifelong learners.  We will be successful in all our tasks by working together as a group, participating, and creating  a learning environment  that is mutually respectful.
    About Me
I  have spent most of my adult life at West Iredell High School.  I am a  1980 graduate of West ( a proud Warrior) and a 1984 graduate of Queens College in Charlotte, North Carolina.  I received teacher certification from Lenoir Rhyne College.  This school year will be my 29th year teaching at West Iredell High; my first two years were spent as a Volunteer In Mission for a total of thirty-one years of experience.  My teaching experience began in a tiny village in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.  It was there that I learned that I have a lot to teach a child just as a child has a lot to teach me. I am the proud parent of an Appalachian State Mountaineer graduate and a current Queens University Royal. Both are West High graduates. I want my students to have positive experiences in my classroom and I believe that I, as the teacher, you, as the parent(s), and our students will each contribute to classroom success.
