    SHS DRIVER EDUCATION SCHEDULE


    THE IREDELL-STATESVILLE SCHOOLS DRIVER EDUCATION PROGRAM IS OPEN TO ALL  ISS  STUDENTS WHO ARE ENROLLED IN HIGH SCHOOL AND ARE OF THE AGES 14 ½ TO 17 YEARS OLD.  STATESVILLE HIGH STUDENTS SHOULD SIGN UP IN THE GUIDANCE OFFICE.  CROSSROADS EARLY COLLEGE STUDENTS SHOULD SIGN UP IN MRS. WHITENER’S OFFICE.  ALL CCTL, PRIVATE, CHARTER, AND HOMESCHOOL STUDENTS SHOULD JUST SHOW UP ON THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS IN THE SHS CAFETERIA.  STUDENTS NEED TO BRING A  FOLDER, PAPER, PENCIL, PEN, AND KNOW THE CORRECT SPELLING OF THEIR NAME AS IT APPEARS ON THEIR BIRTH CERTIFICATE.

    *Driver Education is available to students, only if enrolled in public, private, charter, or licensed home school within the Iredell-Statesville School boundaries.



    *Driver’s Education Fee Notification: Due to State funding cuts for the Driver’s Education program, Iredell-Statesville Schools (I-SS) has implemented a $65.00 fee for each participant in the program. GUIDELINES FOR PARTICIPATION: 1. Students who pass the classroom portion of the course will be subject to the $65.00 fee. 2. Students must pay the $65.00 fee on the last day of the classroom portion of the course. 3. The fee must be received before the student can participate in the driving portion of the course.
