I am so excited to be working with a wonderful staff here at Statesville High School. I have been working at Statesville High School for 9 years. I worked at Shepherd Elementary School in Mooresville for 3 years. I have been in the education field for over 16 plus years. Throughout my teaching experience, I had the pleasure of being employed as a Preschool Teacher, GED/ESL instructor for teens and adults, an Elementary Teacher and currently a Special Education Teacher. I was raised in Baldwin Park, California and lived in Buffalo, New York for over 15 years. I graduated from Villa Maria College with an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education. I was the first recipient at Villa Maria College to receive an Attendance Award. I received my undergraduate degree from Canisius College in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education. I received a Master's degree in Special Education from Canisius College; completed courses from Gardner Webb University in School Administration. This year, I officially received my Admin license. I am so excited! I don't know what my journey in life will lead me so stay tuned for more details:).
