    Our Classroom Mission
This is the mission statement developed by the students:
The mission of our class is to become more knowledgable in the English curriculum. We will be successful in English class by paying attention and participating in class, striving for excellence, being respectful to each other, and by putting our best effort forward.  We will measure our success on classwork, major tests, projects, and assessments.
    About Me
Hello, my name is Robin Comer and I have been teaching English grades 8-12 since 1998. I have taught on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, in Central Florida, and am now at SIHS. I love Iredell County and believe it is a terrific place to raise children. Professionally, my passion for teaching lies in my love for literature and relating to students. I also enjoy teaching writing, grammar, and helping students to enhance their vocabulary and skills in verbal expression. Throughout my years of teaching, I have met hundreds of wonderful kids who I have enjoyed getting to know better as people. I have found the true joy of teaching lies not only in what my students have learned from me but what I have learned from them.
At home, I am a proud mother of three growing boys, Robert, Sammy, and Max.  I enjoy spending time with my family and pets(Chance and Cosmo), reading, cooking, exploring the great outdoors, facebooking, and relaxing whenever I can.
