    My Classroom Mission

I will prepare my students to be knowledgeable and critical thinkers who possess 21st century skills. I will prepare my students to use their knowledge and skills to be successful on the AP exam and in life.
    Why Study History?
"The past is not dead," declared the great American novelist William Faulkner. "It is not even past." With this observation, Faulkner neatly expressed the fact that forces at play in our world today have historical roots. Anyone interested in understanding the world in which we live must have a clear and deep understanding of the historical forces that shaped it."--Mark Epstein,2006
