• Welcome to my Classroom!

    Welcome to my LNHS homepage!

I'm very excited to get started this new school year. We have a lot of unique topics that we will get to explore in AP Statistics.  This class offers an interactive and engaging look at data exploration and making logical conclusions about data sets.  We will get a chance to not only analyze data, but also collect and create data sets so we can then infer from them!

    My Classroom Mission:

All students will become proficient in the material as outlined by LNHS, North Carolina, College Board, and the National Council of Teacher of Mathematics.  We will accomplish this by engaging the material enthusiastically and from our commitment to study and practice.

    About Me:

I was born and raised near Boise Idaho. I graduated from the University of Idaho with a BS in Mathematics.  I taught in Idaho at Vallivue High School for two years. I then moved to the wonderful state of North Carolina, to teach here at Lake Norman High School.  I have been at LNHS for twelve years and am excited to start my thirteenth year here, and look forward to all that we will accomplish.

I have had a chance to develop the AP Statistics Program here at Lake Norman from the ground up.  We started the program in 2010 and have gotten progressively closer to my goal of all '5's on the AP exam with each successive year.  I am sure this year will be the year our vision is realized!

I am looking forward to another successful school year, if you need to contact me for any reason, the best method of contacting me is via email (see address above).
