• Welcome to my Classroom

    Kimberly Souther

I am so excited to be your child's teacher! Kindergarten is such a wonderful place full of exciting learning opportunities!
My mission is to create a safe and happy learning environment where all children will be successful!
In my classroom I use the Letterland phonics program, the Write from the Beginning journal writing program, the Daily 5, and the Handwriting without Tears writing program.  I teach using the North Carolina Essential Standards and I teach using themes to bring together all subject areas. I do lots of hands on activities because I know children learn in many different ways. Your child will be ready for first grade by the end of the school year.
    My Classroom Mission

We will come to school each day.  We will work on our letters, numbers, and sounds.  We will be kind to one another.  We will obey the rules and follow directions so that we will be ready for first grade.
