    DemographicsLake Norman Elementary serves 454 kindergarten through fifth grade students living in the southern end of Iredell County.  Our school is comprised of 46% female, 54% male.  77% Caucasian, 4% African American, 9% Hispanic, 2% Multi-racial & 8% Asian.  We have a 17% free and reduced lunch rate.

    Program Offerings: Lake Norman Elementary offers a rigorous, child-centered curriculum through differentiated instruction designed to meet the needs of all students. We use the Positive Behavior Support plan with our students. In this plan, we teach students to be safe, respectful, and responsible. We provide enhancements in the areas of music, art, physical education, media, technology and guidance.     Results: Lake Norman Elementary has achieved the recognition of “School of Excellence” in past years (2005-2012).  In 2012 - 2013 the EOG tests were changed.  LNE students scored 67% in Reading and 72% in Math.  The district and state averages were approximately 45% for both tests.  LNE was 2nd in the district!
