Welcome to my ClassroomTricia FreezeEmail: tfreeze@iss.k12.nc.usMy Classroom Mission Mrs. Freeze's 4th grade family will try our best to- come to school, make friends, and become smarter, in order to pass the EOG's and go to 5th grade.About MeI am very excited about teaching your child this year. Fourth grade is a year filled with many exciting topics and field trips.
I received my training for my teaching career at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I earned my degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Math. Since then, I was named Teacher of the Year and became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2002. Thirteen years ago, I obtained add-on licensure in Academically/Intellectually Gifted Education.
It’s hard to believe that this is my twenty-sixth year of teaching! I have taught 5th grade for 6 years, 3rd grade for 11 years, and fourth grade for 8 years. Time really does pass quickly when you love what you do. Teaching is such a rewarding profession because of the impact I can make in the lives of my students. I also enjoy the challenge of working with children and the joy they bring daily.
I am married and have two children, Brandon and Haley. I enjoy many things: sports, crafts, traveling, reading, shopping, and spending time with my family and friends.
I look forward to watching your child grow intellectually and mature throughout the school year. This growth will happen through a commitment on our part, your child, and you. Please be aware that your child will have homework every night except Fridays.
A well disciplined classroom is essential to good learning. I will need your help and support if a problem should arise and you will be contacted should a need arise. Please discuss our class rules and consequences with your child so that he/she will know what we expect. We’ll be discussing the rules often. My favorite college team is the UNC Tarheels. (Go Heels)
