• Fundraising

Did you know that Iredell County ranks 110 out of 115 counties in North Carolina in per pupil funding and North Carolina ranks 46th in the nation?   While it may seem that WHES is a ‘well-off’ school, the state funds WHES receives are actually at a much lower level than most other schools in the state because of our very low percentage of free and reduced lunch enrollment.  Therefore, the WHES PTO funds many basic educational supplies and resources through monies raised from fundraisers and retailer reward programs held throughout the year.

To help support our school, the PTO leads many fundraising activities throughout the year to benefit our students.  The PTO coordinates four special fundraisers that raise tens of thousands of dollars each year for our school.  WHES also has numerous simple ongoing fundraising options to give back to our school through local retailers and corporate programs.
