IMPACT Pilot Project Device Selection

The Innovative Methods for Personalized Academics, Complemented by Technology (IMPACT) project is a bold and innovative initiative to improve the academic performance and success of students within the Iredell-Statesville Schools.

In order for the district to successfully complete the next phase of the grant initiative, the IMPACT team implemented a technology Device Pilot Project.  The device pilot project started on Thursday, October 3, 2013, and is scheduled to end on Friday, November 1, 2013.

The purpose of the pilot project is to collect feedback from students, parents, teachers and and staff members regarding two operating systems and two types of devices (tablet and laptop).  The students, teachers and staff members selected to participate in the project will use the pilot devices over a four-week period both at school and home.

The district deployed devices to Wave 1 school students in the Spring of 2014.
