All About Me:
My name is Rana Chaaban. I was born and raised in Chouiefat, on the shores of the Mediterranean in Lebanon. I have been living in Mooresville with my husband since 1995. I have two sons, Omar, who graduated last year from the DP program and is now a freshman majoring in Biology at ECU, and Ramsey, who is a Junior in South Iredell High School’s DP program.
I am looking forward to a productive year with my English Language Learners. I have teaching experience in English as a Second Language at different levels in elementary and middle school. I earned my certification in teaching English as a Second Language in Lebanon. I’m excited to kick off my 19th year at Iredell Statesville Schools.
In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, baking, reading, traveling and cooking.
My mission is to inspire students to become global citizens by working together and encouraging each other to be good learners and workers in the classroom to become proficient in the English Language.
