There will be Saturday school this week.

All students who took the writing re-test, please check your name on the bulletin board outside room A-116 to see if you passed.

Attention Spanish Club members all candle orders need to be turned in to Mrs. Di by Wednesday. (18)

Any girls attending prom and would like to have your make up done by a professional make–up artist, see Mrs. Kincaid in room A-217.

If you are a graduating senior or a rising senior and have an interest in being in the Miss Statesville Pageant in August, you may pick up material in the main office that explains the Scholarships that will be awarded and the dates of the upcoming meetings.

There will be NO Saturday school this week.

A team of teachers and students from Onslow High School will be visiting South campus all day on Thursday, March 29th to model our Peer Helpers Program. Please help them feel welcome. (28)

packets. This is required for juniors and money must be turned in
on daily basis. There is only 90.00 turned in on sales.

Students applying to the Huskins program need to turn their registration information into Mr. Williams ASAP.

There will be a prom committee meeting today at 3:05 in A-106. All students who are interested in being on prom committee should attend.

Blood drive donor sheets are due back Thursday, March 15.

Herff-Jones will be in the cafeteria next Tuesday and Wednesday, March 13 and 14th, during lunches to take orders for class rings. They will also be available for parents from 5:00pm to 6:30pm Tuesday, 13th in the Media Center. You may pick up a ring packet in the main office if you did not receive one.

Seniors that are interested in fundraising for the prom need
to stop by and see Ms. Carnduff to get they're fundraising
packets. This is required for juniors and money must be turned in
on daily basis. There is only 90.00 turned in on sales.

There will be a HOSA meeting on Monday, Feb. 26th directly after school. Info on Diabetes Awareness on agenda.

Yearbooks will be on sale in A-119, Mr. Their's room, before or after school by March 1st or 2nd. The cost is now 75.00, but will increase again after March 2nd. Supplies are limited and will be available first come, first served basis. If your name is on the Yearbook bulletin board outside the main office, you filled out a form, but DID NOT purchase a book yet. (2)

Any junior who missed the registration assembly needs to see their counselor. Junior cards are due back to the Student Center by next Monday. (26)

Students who are planning on attending the Prom on May 12th, if your date does not attend South. You must fill out a form for
Mr. Matthews that identifies your date and what school they attend. This form must be turned in by Monday, whether you have paid or not. (23)

Parent meeting for Track & Field will be Thursday at 6pm. All students who plan on running track must have a parent attend the meeting to sign the paperwork. (22)

There will be a rep from UNV-Pembroke in the student center today from 1:00 –2:00. If you are applying to UNCP, sign up in the student center.

Yearbooks will be on sale in A-119, Mr. Their's room, before or after school by March 1st or 2nd. The cost is now 75.00, but will increase again after March 2nd. Students who have photos of alternative sports or want The Yearbook staff to photograph please see Ayla Andrews, Nicole Mills or Amanda Pettit ASAP. Alternative sports paintball, fishing, hunting or boys skateboarding.

Any students interested in taking Yearbook nest year need to pick up an application from Mr. Their before Feb. 14th.

Applications for Allied Health Sciences II and Advance Studies are available from Mrs. Green or Mrs. Cline in room N 102 they are due back not later than Friday, Feb. 16th. (15)


Girls soccer tryouts will begin on Monday, Feb.12th from
3:30 – 5:00. All girls must have a physical on file and have passed 3 out of 4 classes last semester. Tryouts will be held Monday through Thursday. Attendance at all (4) days is required. Please dress appropriately for the weather. See Mrs. Rogers for any questions. (9)

Open track will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:30. First official practice is Feb. 12th. Tryouts will start Tuesday,
Feb. 13th.

Students interested in the Apprenticeship 2000 program need to see Mr. Williams in the student center.

The Winter Formal Dance will be on Sat. Feb. 10th from
8:00 – 11:00pm. Tickets will be $10.00 per person. This will include refreshments and a 5x7 picture. Dress is semi-formal ties and slacks for boys, skirts or dresses for girls. (14)
