Supplies for Second Graders

Individual Use:  Each student needs the items listed below.  PLEASE write his or her name on each item. 

A baggie with the following coins (for math lessons & please put your child’s name on the baggie): 

10 dimes 20 pennies 
8 nickels 6 quarters 

1 small pencil box or pouch 

2 dry erase markers & 1 old sock (to use as an eraser for a personal dry erase boards) 

1” notebook (3 ring hardback binder) (approx. cost 75¢ to $1.00)* 

4 composition books (spiral, one subject, wide ruled) 

1 pocket folder (of your choice) 

1 Pack of 4 highlighters (4 different colors) 

1 Glue stick (at least) 

2 Boxes of crayons (24 or less)-1 for school & 1 for home 

2 red pens (for checking) 

12" ruler for homework

4 tennis balls

Book Bag**

General Class Supplies for First Semester:  These are for students to share and will be passed out as needed for the first half of the year. A new list will be sent home around Christmas Break for 2nd semester supplies. This is due to limited storage space in our mobile unit. 

Boys: Please bring the following to open house:

Bag of candy (individually wrapped for rewards)

Quart-size ziplock bags

1 box of Baby wipes

1 pack of pencil erasers

2 packs of pencils (plain yellow)

Girls: Please bring the following to open house:

Waterless hand sanitizer

Gallon or 2 gallon-size ziplock bags

1 pack of wide-ruled loose leaf paper

1 box of tissues (Kleenex)

1 pack of basket style coffee filters (we use these to distribute snacks)

Everyone: 

Fees: $10.00 for Weekly Readers, special folders & projects - payable at Open House 

Please bring one can of yellow tennis balls to open house

*Please no trapper keepers (large velcro-closure binders), they are too large for the desks. 
**PLEASE NO rolling book bags due to the safety of the children, noise level in the halls, & lack of storage space.  We greatly appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
