About Mrs. Short:
I am married to Steve Short. We have been married
for forty-three years. He is the minister at Broad Street Church of Christ
on East Broad Street in Statesville. Our home has been in Statesville
for the past twenty-four years. Steve and I were reared in Tennessee. Therefore,
we are dedicated Tennessee Big Orange fans. As always, we will be in Knoxville
for all the home football games this fall.
We have four daughters. Stephanie is a Reading Recovery
teacher in McMinnville, TN. Her husband Bobby and she are expecting
their first child in October. Candace is a kindergarten teacher at Central
and is married to Bradley Speer. He is a partner at Norris, Stewart, and
Ralston CPA firm in Statesville. They have three children Emilee, age 9,
twins - Joshua and Landon, age 7. Connie is married to Dan Pope.
Dan is a partner at Statesville Roofing. They have two sons, Isaac age
7 and Zachary, age 5. They are expecting their first little girl
in October. Michelle lives in Nashville, TN and is married to Christian.
They have a son, Gabriel, which was born in June of this year. Michelle
works with NorthWest Airlines as a flight attendant and teaches Yoga.
When I’m not at Shepherd, some of my favorite things
to do are keeping grandchildren, church activities, taking classes at the
YMCA, and planning trips.

About Mrs. Swartz:
I am married to Ricky Swartz. He is a mechanic for
Harris Teeter at Indian Trail. We have lived in the Shepherd School community
for the past 27 years. My entire family has attended Shepherd School over
the past 60 years. We have four children. Tracy is married to Glenn Rauhofer,
and they have two boys. John is six years old, and Aaron is three years
old. They live in North Charleston, SC. Richard is our only boy and he
is married to Jada. They have one son, Ridge. He will be one year old in
September. They have just moved to Mooresville. We have twin daughters,
Natalie and Nichole. They are still living at home, working, and going
to college. Natalie attends CPCC and is studying to be a physical therapist
assistant. Nichole is a teacher at Tutor Time with the eighteen month old
children. Nichole plans to be married in November. I have been a teaching
assistant and a bus driver for 15 years. There is no other school better
than the one that I work for and your child attends. I love working with
children. I know we will have a wonderful year, learning, and working together
for your child.
