Shepherd Elementary achieved the status of School of Excellence and High Growth (at least 90% at or above grade level) in 2003/2004 (93.5% at or above grade level),  2002/2003 (90.8% at or above grade level) and  for the 2001-2002 school year, Shepherd was one of two elementary schools (in our system of 20) that share this achievement with 91.1% proficiency. 

Shepherd Elementary achieved the status of School of Distinction in 1997-1998 and from 1999-2001.  Shepherd students achieved an impressive 88.4% proficiency in 2000-2001. 

Shepherd Elementary is also an Exemplary School because students exceeded their expected growth goal.  The growth standard is based on our previous performance and statewide average growth.
