The Scientific Name:
        Plecotus townsendii virginianus
Description:
       These bats hibernate in caves and, sometimes, mines when the temperature is 54 degrees Fahrenheit or less. Hibernation is usually near well-ventilated areas.
        When the bats are born, they are large. They weigh nearly 1/4 as much as their mother. They will be able to fly when they are 2 1/2-3 weeks
4 Additional Facts:
    -There are, an estimated, 10,000 left in these 4 states, North Carolina, West Virginia, Virginia, and Kentucky.
    -They are very rare to be known.
    -They will come back year after year to the same place they were at.
    -Mating will begin in autumn and continues until winter.
