Fort Fisher is located in the Coastal Region. It's in our country too. People faught and died there. Fort Fisher was built mostly of the earth and sand, so it could absorb the shock of heavy explosives. The sea face equipped with 22 guns, consisted of a series of  12 feet high batteries bounded on the south side by two larger batteries 45 and 60 feet high.
