To provide a comprehensive assistance and resource network for the support of teachers as a means to improve the teacher retention rate.

Aug. 16th   8:30 am Site-based orientation (school specific information)
                *2:00 pm Out-of-state licensure meeting at Gardner-Webb
                                 (required for all new out-of-state teachers)

Aug. 17th   8:30 am District-based orientation at Statesville Civic Center for all new teachers (lunch will be provided)
                *1:00 pm New teachers return to schools to work with Lead Teachers

Aug. 20th   8:00 am Closing the Gap Day
                       (teachers will be informed where to meet)
