What is an Exemplary School?

West Iredell High School is one of 9 Iredell-Statesville Schools honored as an "Exemplary School" by the North Carolina Board of Education as part of the ABCs of Public Schools Accountability Program. West students have achieved exemplary academic growth for the past two years.

The honor is given to those schools that have met achievement levels based upon student proficiency standards on the state End-of-Grade Test, growth based on a two-year average on the N.C. Writing Test, and students who are growing 10% or more above their expected levels between grades.
